The landlord of an apartment block in Sale says residents lives are being disrupted by the council failing to empty bins which has led to an 'environmental hazard.'
Landlord Tim Kilroe, Director of Bethell Property Services, who own the Bacara Court apartment block located on Charlton Drive, Sale says there is 'an ongoing environmental situation at an apartment block that we own'.
He says the council has been failing to empty bins on a regular basis which has led to disruption to the resident’s livelihoods and is a general environmental hazard. "We have made attempts to rectify the situation with the Trafford’s refuge department who have failed to respond, as they refuse to send a representative to carry out a site assessment, " he said.

"Even worse now there have been complaints that the area has become rat-infested and will become a bigger health risk if left to continue." Adding: "This situation has been going on for four years."
At this point, Mr Kilroe says residents have been left to empty the bins themselves. He says he has been trying to purchase additional bins for the last 12 months but cannot get the council to deliver them.
He says: "All the apartment block residents at Bacara Court pay their council taxes and have the right to get their bins emptied. They should not be subject to this continued disgraceful poor level of service from Trafford MBC."
Residents living in the flats say things have been getting worse. One person who lives in the flats said: "The bins have still not been emptied and it has become a major issue. Some of the residents are being resourceful taking their rubbish to the tip but others
