EastEnders have paid a special tribute to June Brown's iconic Dot Cotton on the anniversary of her character's first appearance on the BBC One soap. In a touching scene, Natalie Cassidy's Sonia Fowler and Gillian Taylforth's Kathy Beale recreated the scene as a nod to Dot, who made her first appearance on the show on July 4, 1985 – 37 years ago.

Mamet, the twice Oscar nominated scribe and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, will do a rewrite on Celozzi’s script. Apple TV+ is exploring the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in its latest limited series, “Five Days at Memorial.”The series is based on actual events, chronicling the impact of the hurricane — which quickly became one of the deadliest natural disasters in the country’s history — and its aftermath on Memorial Medical Center in New Orleans. When the floodwaters rose, power failed, and heat soared, exhausted caregivers at the hospital were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come. In a trailer released Wednesday, nurses, doctors, and residents brace for the hurricane as it races toward the city.

Will Forte is set to star in Bodkin (w/t) at Netflix, the first drama series from Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground production company and wiip. The dystopian drama “Squid Game” was such an enormous hit, it’s not a surprise that Netflix is turning the deadly game within the show into an actual competition — minus the killings, of course.Netflix announced on Tuesday that they are launching “Squid Game: The Challenge,” in which 456 real players will enter the game for a chance to win $4.56 million. “As they compete through a series of games inspired by the original show – plus surprising new additions – their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated around them,” the Netflix logline reads.

According to Netflix, “Squid Game: The Challenge” will be “the biggest reality competition series ever,” hosting the largest cast and offering the largest lump sum cash prize in reality television history as 456 players compete for $4.56 million.Contestants will go through a series of games inspired by the original show, plus new additions, which are all intended to test their strategies, alliances and character as others are eliminated around them.
