A sneak peek at the only outdoor winter spa in Glasgow has been released to mark its grand opening.
THAW, located at the renowned Kimpton Blythswood Square hotel, has now opened its doors to any guests looking for some rest and relaxation.
The "one-of-a-kind winter retreat" includes an open-air hot tub, luxury saunas, and steam room. It takes inspiration from Scandinavian-style spas, with guests "immersing themselves in the elements".

THAW is located under a canopy in the five-star hotel’s secluded courtyard. The main feature is the outdoor hydrotherapy hot tub, which comes with "luxurious lounge" seating where up to six people can unwind.
The spa includes two four-seater infrared saunas that each offer a unique atmosphere. The first is intended to provide a fun and social experience, while the second is "an oasis of calm and tranquillity".
The wellness sauna also offers sound therapy by award-winning music producer and Glasgow native Brian D'Souza.
Elsewhere, guests can spend some time in the four-person aroma steam room. They can also cool off and lie back in the lounge area, or even soak under the drench experience shower.
Whilst enjoying the outdoor spa, Kimpton Blythswood Square staff will be on-hand to offer champagne. Once back inside, guests will be treated to a warming cup of hot chocolate.
THAW can be "enjoyed exclusively by residents" every day of the week, along with the spa's full 55-minute treatment menu. Meanwhile, non-residents can book treatments or the Unwind & Dine package at weekends.
