A number of fire crews were deployed on blue lights to a hotel in Manchester city centre this evening.
The M.E.N understands that guests were evacuated from their rooms at the Doubletree Hotel, near Piccadilly station after the alarm was incorrectly sounded.
Fire trucks were pictured racing to the scene, on the A6, at around 8.50pm this evening, January 20.

At least four fire engines scrambled to the large city centre hotel.
Guests staying overnight at the hotel were then pictured stood on the street outside as they waited for information.
One person staying overnight said they have been told they had to wait outside until they were given the green light to go back in by staff.
The hotel had to follow protocol after the alarm was sounded and evacuate guests.

It is understood there was no fire and nobody has been injured, and that the alarm incorrectly went into 'full alarm' mode.
Due to the size of the hotel, a huge fire response was then deployed to the scene.
Guests are now being allowed back into the hotel.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were in attendance but had no further information to add.
