Fire crews rescued an 18-year-old man with a dislocated knee after he became stuck on scaffolding in Denton. Paramedics and two fire engines from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) attended the scene on Gloucester Road on Wednesday afternoon (May 18).
Fire crews attended the scene shortly after 2.30pm to find the male, who needed rescuing from the scaffolding. He had become stuck on the first floor level after suffering a dislocated knee.
He was lifted back down to the ground on a stretcher and a ladder and was taken into the back of an ambulance where he was treated by NWAS paramedics. The scene then cleared shortly afterwards.

A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 2.33pm firefighters from Gorton Fire Station were called out to Gloucester Road in Denton following reports of a man who needed rescuing from scaffolding.
"Two fire engines attended the scene where an 18-year-old male had suffered a dislocated knee and was stuck on the first-floor level of the scaffolding. The man was taken down to the ground level using a stretcher and turntable ladder and taken into an ambulance for treatment."
