Ferne McCann has reportedly called in the police amid drama surrounding leaked voice notes. An anonymous Instagram account started sharing recordings, which appear to be Ferne's voice, last week. The first clip sensationally appears to feature her using the C-word to talk about her fellow TOWIE star and former BFF Sam Faiers, adding: "Her thighs are so big and I looked really skinny today." While Sam has sought comfort from new pals and brushed off the drama by spending time with her family, a distraught Ferne, 32, has reportedly had her "life turned upside down".
The star, who "hasn't stopped crying all week", has allegedly called in the police, who are "tracking the parties responsible". A source told The Sun: "Ferne was visited by the police on Thursday night after having her life turned upside down by a fake account that has launched a malicious smear campaign against her.
"Officers spent a few hours with her and gave reassurances that they are prioritising this case, tracking the parties responsible. "Having taken statements, the police are currently in the process of tracking the fake account’s whereabouts. The Online Safety Bill was discussed as they clamp down on cyber crime." OK! has contacted Ferne's representative and Essex police for comment.
It comes as earlier this week, in another voice note, a woman, allegedly Ferne, can be heard saying: "She is just a narcissistic b***h. "It’s just so s**t on people that have worked hard, because she’s got a big following.
It’s just ridiculous — it’s out of order." Ferne and Sam are thought to have been very close at one time with their friendship pre-dating TOWIE. Ferne was thought to still be very close to Sam's sister, Billie, but their relationship now may be tested
