Fern Britton's friend Lorraine Stanton has spoken out after pictures of her kissing Fern's ex-husband Phil Vickery emerged. Phil and Fern were married for 20 years, but called time on their marriage in 2020. Since then Lorraine has been spotted kissing Phil while out in London – but has now explained that her own marriage is over.
"It's a difficult time for me and the family," 58 year old Lorraine, who was once close friends with the TV couple, told MailOnline. "I don't actually live in the marital home anymore and it's got nothing to do with the latest incident over the pictures." Lorraine continued: "We are going through a grieving period as a family, and I've also just lost my step father. My children are feeling very vulnerable, and they are very upset about the whole situation." According to MailOnline, Lorraine declined to reveal where she is living and said that she doesn't want to go into detail about the pictures.
The snaps in question, obtained by The Sun, showed Phil and Lorraine standing on a street in London, surrounded by duffel bags and a suitcase.They can then be seen planting a kiss on each other's lips. Lorraine's husband Simon has also broken his silence. When asked about the pictures, he said: "I don't know when I'll be in a position to speak to my wife about them.
I'm not at home and the moment and neither is my wife; she hasn't been there for a while." Fern herself took to Twitter to deny that reports of a romance between Phil and Lorraine were true, as she tweeted: "Good morning all. Just to clear up any concerns [...] It is not true."
