Fergie follows in Meghan's footsteps as she launches podcast where 'no topic is off table'

Sarah Ferguson is following in the footsteps of Meghan Markle by launching a podcast “about the highs and lows of everyday life”. The Duchess of York, known as Fergie, confirmed she was teaming up with long-time friend Sarah Jane Thomson, the entrepreneur and founder of First News, for the weekly show. The 63 year old Royal announced on her Instagram page on Tuesday morning that the first episode of Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah would be released this week.
Fergie is the latest in a line of royals to launch a podcast - with Meghan, Mike Tindall and Princess Eugenie all having tried their hand at presenting one. The description for Fergie’s new show reads: “Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah is a new weekly podcast about the highs and lows of everyday life. "Long-time friends and tea fans, author Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and Sarah Jane Thomson, entrepreneur and founder of First News, will be getting to the bottom of week’s talking points while enjoying a soothing cup of tea.
"They learn about themselves, each other and give their take on some of the biggest and strangest stories from around the world. “No topic is off the table. No biscuit will remain undunked.” She shared news of the podcast on her Instagram along with the hashtag #SpillTheTea.
It comes after Prince Harry and Meghan, 41, signed a deal with streaming platform Spotify, worth an estimated £18 million, to produce and host podcasts. One series has come from that deal so far - the Duchess of Sussex’s Archetypes, which saw the former actress speak to celebrities and experts about how women are typecast, while sharing stories from her personal life.
