Nigel Stonehouse, known as Nige, was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May but it has already spread to his lungs and he has been told he likely has just a matter of weeks to live. The 58-year-old has made it his “dying wish” to make it to Glastonbury this week, even if only for a few hours, after already purchasing a ticket.
A GoFundMe page - set up to pay for a helicopter to transport Mr Stonehouse there and back - has raised more than £15,000 which is already more than the original £12,000 target needed to book the helicopter.
