Fatboy Slim is supporting efforts to help a terminally ill man go to Glastonbury Festival one last time. Nigel Stonehouse, known as Nige, was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May but it has already spread to his lungs and he has been told he likely has just a matter of weeks to live. The 58-year-old has made it his “dying wish” to make it to Glastonbury this week, even if only for a few hours, after already purchasing a ticket.
A GoFundMe page - set up to pay for a helicopter to transport Mr Stonehouse there and back - has raised more than £15,000 which is already more than the original £12,000 target needed to book the helicopter. Now Fatboy Slim has called on his supporters to donate after being contacted by a friend of Nige. “Folks.
I’ve been contacted by the friend of a terminally ill man who wants to go to Glasto 1 last time. He’s so poorly with cancer they’re going to have to fly him in by air ambulance,” he wrote on Twitter. Folks.
