Twice-impeached former president Donald Trump hasn’t been arrested yet, but Jimmy Fallon is pretty sure he’s starting to feel the heat. During Monday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show,” Fallon joked that the location of Trump’s first official 2024 campaign rally was the clearest sign of that.On Saturday, Trump stopped in Waco, Texas to make his first official campaign bid to the people and, as always, his speech was full of lies and gripes about how he’s being treated unfairly.
Naturally, Trump complained about the multiple investigations into him, arguing that the courts shouldn’t be believing the testimony of his former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen. In reality, Waco is about a 5-6 hour drive away from the Mexico border. Nonetheless, Fallon took his opening.“You could tell Trump was nervous about getting arrested, ’cause he gave his speech with one foot in Mexico,” Fallon joked.
The “Tonight Show” host also poked fun at the line-up of speakers for the rally, which included Ted Nugent, Marjorie Taylor Greene and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. Of course, Fallon couldn’t help but notice one name that was left off the invite list.“Rudy Giuliani was watching at home like ‘Am I too crazy, or not crazy enough?'” Fallon mocked.

It’s a little different than the bunnies the last president hung out with,” Fallon said as a photo of Trump at “Playboy’s” 45th anniversary party posing with several Playmates flashed on the screen.“It’ll be weird when the Easter Bunny hugs Biden and underneath the mascot you hear…” Fallon said, adding with a mock Trump voice, “You have to pardon me please.”After mentioning that the Easter Egg Roll would take place on Monday instead of Easter Sunday — like a New Year’s Eve Party happening Jan. 2 — the “Tonight Show” host then put together a montage of all the different Easter Bunnies at the White House over the years, showing that they look different every time.“Bunny in a vest.

Over the weekend, Donald Trump hit the campaign trail to give a headline-making speech in Waco, Texas — picked, apparently, because it’s currently the 30-year anniversary of the standoff between federal law enforcement and the Branch Davidian cultists that ultimately ended with the deaths of 86 members of the cult.Jimmy Kimmel noticed the significance of the date, not only by snarking that Trump is signaling “he’s going down in flames and he’s taking his cult followers with him,” but also bestowing Trump with a new nickname: Kanye West Wing. Get it?“The other Kanye — Kanye West Wing — had a rally this weekend,” Kimmel said during his monologue. “In Waco, on the 30th anniversary of the siege that claimed the lives of 86 people there.”“You know if it happened now, he would side with the Branch Davidians.
Ana Navarro may be no fan of Donald Trump, but she still thinks the twice-impeached former president is right about one thing: he gets to take credit for Ron DeSantis’ governorship.Navarro’s thoughts came as the hosts of “The View” discussed Trump’s campaign rally in Waco, Texas, on Monday morning. Though the women largely scoffed at what Trump had to say — moderator Whoopi Goldberg even went so far as to call him the “most violent snowflake I’ve ever seen” — Navarro honed in on one smaller bit.“I did rallies for Ron that were massive rallies. And they were very successful,” Trump said.

convinced he’s getting arrested on Tuesday and, though he may be calling it a “witch hunt,” among other things, Jimmy Fallon thinks there might be at least one aspect of getting apprehended that Trump is going to enjoy.During his monologue on Monday night, Fallon joked that Trump actually deserves some credit for his Truth Social post announcing his arrest on Saturday, saying that “it’s not often that everyone sends out a ‘Save the Date’ for their own arrest.” Of course, it’s worth noting that’s Trump’s claim was not officially confirmed by authorities, or even by anyone on his own team.In his post on Saturday, Trump wrote that “THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK.”“First of all, at least he’s finally admitting he’s the former president,” Fallon joked. “That’s progress.
