The Book of Boba Fett season 1 spoilers follow. Ming-Na Wen has had an interesting response to a Mace Windu fan theory in The Book of Boba Fett. The actress is currently playing the bounty hunter's mercenary ally Fennec Shand in the Disney+ series about a lost chapter in the life of Boba Fett.
Throughout the series thus far, Star Wars fans have started speculating that there have been subtle hints at an eventual appearance from Samuel L. Jackson's Jedi master Mace Windu from the prequel trilogy. Episode 1 dropped the first hint when a flashback showed young Boba Fett cradling Jango's Mandalorian helmet following his death at the hands of none other than Mace Windu.
In fact, Windu actually beheaded Jango!Related: Ming-Na Wen has been preparing to play Fennec Shand her whole lifeThe flashback is striking because it combines prequel scenes and new footage shot specifically for The Book of Boba Fett, leading to questions about why Jango's death was brought up so early in the show. Video: Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen on 'The Book of Boba Fett' (Yahoo Entertainment US)When Digital Spy recently chatted with Ming-Na Wen about The Book of Boba Fett, she made some interesting comments when asked if she's familiar with the Mace Windu theory. "Yeah.
Tem [Morrison] brought up his name in one of our interviews," she told us. "He pronounced the name really well in his New Zealand accent. It's kind of like answering a question without really answering it, isn't it?"There's one big problem with the theories about Mace Windu returning – he too was killed in the prequels when The Emperor and Anakin Skywalker used a Force blast so powerful he was sent plunging to his death.

Jem Aswad Senior Music EditorPrimary Wave Music announced that it has acquired the music rights from the estates of Layne Staley and Mike Starr of the Grammy-nominated Seattle band Alice In Chains. The deal will see the publisher acquire a stake in the Layne Staley’s and Mike Starr’s music publishing catalog, as well as master royalty income stream; terms of the deal were not disclosed. The work of the band’s main songwriter, Jerry Cantrell, was not included, nor drummer Sean Kinney or later members Mike Inez and William DuVall. If you’ve been keeping up with the “Star Wars” series on Disney+, “The Mandalorian” and now, “The Book of Boba Fett,” it’s obvious that Lucasfilm is unafraid to bring back Luke Skywalker for an episode or two. So far, both series have utilized Skywalker at least once each, and it would appear that there’s really no end in sight for the studio throwing in the Jedi hero in future episodes.
“Inventing Anna”Friday, February 11, NetflixScammer season continues! This week’s biggest show is “Inventing Anna,” based on the real-life story of Anna Delvey nee Sorokin (played in the film by a comfortably over-the-top Julia Garner), a New York socialite who claimed to be a German heiress but was, in actuality, a Russian-born nobody. Watch as she cons her way into glittery parties, sweet-talks some of the most powerful financiers in the city into investing in her cockamamie schemes and burns every bridge she walks across (in her designer heels).

What’s the opposite of an olive branch? A stick covered in poo on fire? Anyhoo, that’s what Sarah Jessica Parker had to offer to her former co-star this week.
A YouTuber, after going viral for impeccably remastering and recreating “Star Wars” scenes with “deepfake” editing software, was hired by Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic, according to The Wrap. His jaw-dropping clips first came out last summer — and it didn’t take long for fans to notice.Diehards across the galaxy suspect that the man, known only by the username “Shamook,” is responsible for a noticeable improvement in the computer-generated imagery featured in “The Book of Boba Fett” compared to that from “The Mandalorian” in late 2020.Shamook, who got the CGI job thanks to the popular videos he created of enhanced “Star Wars” characters like Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor/Sir Alec Guinness,) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford/Alden Ehrenreich), was especially known for the touch-ups on Luke in the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian.”The connection caused fans to speculate that Shamook was the reason why the de-aged Skywalker appeared noticeably more lifelike during yesterday’s cameo-filled “Boba Fett” episode, compared to how he looked in “The Mandalorian.”“It looked like Shamook’s work on “The Book of Boba Fett” Ep.
The Book of Boba Fett, the latest Star Wars spinoff series to hit Disney+, cracked Nielsen’s top 10 chart for the week of January 3 to 9 as Cobra Kai had a strong repeat No. 1 showing.
Wilson Chapman editorSince the very first movie premiered in 1977, “Star Wars” has been a franchise with a clearly identifiable aesthetic: rusty armor, billowing capes and a retro vibe firmly entrenched in ’70s science fiction. Later iterations of the franchise would update or play with that look to varying extents, but “The Book of Boba Fett” miniseries on Disney Plus is a full-fledged resurgence of the original trilogy’s magic, thanks to the work of costume designer Shawna Trpcic.A hardcore “Star Wars” fan, Trpcic first joined the franchise during season 2 of “The Mandalorian.”In preparation for diving into the show’s spinoff “The Book of Boba Fett,” she studied the original making-of books that George Lucas created during production of the first movie, which provided templates for the original designers like production illustrator Ralph McQuarrie and costume designer John Mollo to follow.
Jennifer Beals is once again at the center of the pop culture zeitgeist thanks to her many roles in some of TV’s biggest franchises, including the latest spinoff . In the Disney+ original, Beals plays Garsa Fwip, a free and prosperous Twi’lek who runs a local cantina in Mos Espa called the Sanctuary on the planet Tatooine. While the series consists of seven episodes, Beals' time as Garsa came to a surprising end in the penultimate episode, “Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger,” which raised the stakes for everyone caught up in an increasingly deadly turf war.
