Chilly temperatures and snow could be on the way as we enter the second half of January.
Heavy snowfall landed across large parts of Scotland in early January, which caused traffic chaos and sparked several weather warnings.
But Scotland has otherwise been enjoying some pretty mild temperatures for this time of year following the warmest New Year on record.
Forecasters predict more snow is on the way with the mercury to plunge over the next seven days and temperatures as low as -1C in some areas.
And before the month is out, Scots will see snow amid a freezing Arctic blast, according to WX Chart.
Forecasters predict snow will fall on Friday, January 28.
The first of the white stuff will be seen in the north before moving south and into England, according to the weather site.
The Met Office has also predicted snow for the first half of February.
The forecasters say there will be occasional snow falling between January 31 and Valentine's Day - February 14.
Their long-range forecast reads: "Into February outbreaks of rain and stronger winds are likely at times across the far north, whereas settled conditions are likely to persist in the south.
"Temperatures are looking to be slightly above average, particularly in the north however some colder interludes remain likely, bringing a risk of occasional snow, most likely over northern hills.
However, it should be noted that long range forecasts are notoriously hard to predict.
Until then, conditions are expected to stay stable if somewhat frosty at times throughout the week after some patchy rain.
