Bruno Fernandes has been harshly criticised by a former Manchester United defender following his comments last month about Matheus Nunes.
Fernandes revealed in August that he had spoken to his Portuguese teammate Nunes about moving to Old Trafford instead of his new club Wolves. "I've already talked to him," the 28-year-old told Record.
"I've already told him that he should have come here [to United] and not there [Wolves]. I'm very happy for him.

"He's going to experience the best league in the world, he's going to have players beside him with a lot of quality, like Ruben [Neves] and Joao [Moutinho], who will teach him a lot. They are two experienced players.
"Matheus is doing incredible things. He has an incredible scope for growth, he is a humble, hardworking kid and I'm sure he will probably explode in the Premier League and will show his qualities.
"Because for his qualities Matheus was not made for the Premier League, but rather the Premier League was made for Matheus."
A month on, ex-Red Paul Parker has slammed Fernandes for discussing who United should sign in public. Speaking to BeMyBet, he explained: "It seems like he has a too high opinion of himself. I think he should actually engage his brain before he opens his mouth.
"I really don’t understand why Fernandes has this need to come out and speak all of a sudden when he really has not performed for a long time. It is really up to the club who they want to sign, so the players should not be talking of things like this.
