Alanis Morissette paid tribute to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins last night (June 28) at the first of two shows at London’s The O2 – see footage below.The Canadian singer-songwriter is currently on the road as part of her ‘Jagged Little Pill’ anniversary tour, which had previously been rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic.Towards the end of her set, Morissette performed her hit 1996 single ‘Ironic’ while displaying images of Hawkins on a screen behind her. Once the song finished, a message reading “In Memory Of Taylor Hawkins” flashed up on the screen under a photo of the drummer.Hawkins played as part of Morissette’s live band before joining the Foos in 1997. Lizzo is getting the “Carpool Karaoke” treatment on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show,” with her segment set to air during the program’s London residency.No details were provided in a Thursday release from CBS on when or where the Lizzo “Carpool Karaoke” was filmed, but it will debut the week of June 27. Corden is airing a week of shows in London from June 27-30 at the Freemasons’ Hall in London.On Thursday morning, CBS also announced that Corden’s slate of guests will include President Joe Biden, “Stranger Things” star David Harbour (who is starring in a play in London’s West End) and Billie Eilish (who has been touring the U.K.).

But it’s also the show’s final trip to Blighty before Corden ends his late night run next spring.

Shirley Halperin Executive Editor, MusicNandi Bushell, the teen drummer (she turned 12 in April) who became an internet phenomenon during the pandemic, will join the Foo Fighters in honoring the late Taylor Hawkins at a Wembley Stadium tribute concert in late September.Hawkins died in March in Colombia at the age of 50.The Foo Fighters — comprised of Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffe — announced performers for the London concert earlier this week. They will include a mix of Hawkins’ friends and influences: Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, Mark Ronson, the Police’s Stewart Copeland, Wolfgang Van Halen, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, veteran jazz/rock drummer Omar Hakim, Queen touring member Rufus Taylor and Hawkins’ cover band Chevy Metal will play at both shows.

Nirvana‘s Krist Novoselic, former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, Pink, Nandi Bushell and many more have been added to the line-up for the forthcoming tribute gigs for late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.Nile Rodgers, Greg Kurstin and LeAnn Rimes who performed with Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders on their 2019 album ‘Get The Money’, have also been added to the bill.
