EXCLUSIVE: star Alexa Demie has signed with UTA in all areas. The agency will expand Demie’s business across a range of verticals, including film, television, music, fashion, and fine arts.
As Maddy Perez, Demie has helped make HBO’s Emmy-nominated series Euphoria a hit, alongside co-stars Zendaya, Angus Cloud, Maude Apatow, and Jacob Elordi, among others. Fans have particularly taken to Maddy’s style and are often spotted emulating her looks.
Euphoria was renewed in February, a month following the Season 2 premiere, amid record-breaking ratings.
Previous small screen credits also include appearances in Netflix’s The OA and Love, as well as Showtime’s Ray Donovan.
On the film side, Demie most recently portrayed Isabelle Roberts in Gia Coppola’s Mainstream, where she starred opposite Andrew Garfield, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Hawke, and Nat Wolff; as Alexis Lopez in 2019’s Waves alongside Renée Elise Goldsberry, Sterling K. Brown, and Kelvin Harrison Jr; as well as the character of Estee in Jonah Hill’s Mid90s.
Demie will continue to be represented by Jamil Artist Management, and Lichter, Grossman, Nicols, Adler, Feldman & Clark.

We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty The Queen, whose close association with BAFTA spanned 50 years. Our thoughts are with BAFTA’s President HRH The Duke of Cambridge and the Royal Family, to whom we offer our deepest sympathy,” BAFTA’s statement said. The annual festivities were set for Saturday afternoon at the Maybourne Beverly Hills in the lead-up to Monday’s Primetime Emmys.

Euphoria star Maude Apatow has responded to being labelled a “nepotism baby”.The 24-year-old actress, who portrays Lexi Howard in the hit HBO series, is the eldest daughter of film director Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann. She has appeared in a number of her father’s films, making her on-screen debut in his 2007 rom-com Knocked Up.In a recent interview with Net-a-Porter, Apatow said she was “sad” when she first learned of the criticism.She continued: “I try not to let it get to me because I obviously understand that I’m in such a lucky position.“A lot of people [in a similar position] have proven themselves over the years, so I’ve got to keep going and make good work.”Apatow added: “It’s so early in my career, I don’t have much to show yet, but hopefully one day I’ll be really proud of the stuff I’ve done by myself.”Also in the interview, Apatow spoke of the help she receives from her parents when working on her own projects, saying: “Dad always reads what I write, but I have to be at a certain point.

Carson Burton Amiah Miller and Bill Heck are rounding out the cast of Searchlight Pictures’ upcoming horror thriller film “Dust.” The film stars Sarah Paulson of “American Horror Story,” Annaleigh Ashford and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in a story set in 1930s Oklahoma. It follows a woman who, during the region’s increasingly perilous dust storms, is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family. The film is directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse, and Crouse penned the script. “Dust” commenced principal photography this week in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Miller previously starred as Nova in the 2017 film from 20th Century Studios “War for the Planet of the Apes” alongside Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson and Steve Zahn. In 2020, she was also seen in David Oyelowo’s feature directorial debut “The Water Man.”
