Luke Bryan announced on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” that he and Peyton Manning will be hosting the 56th annual CMA awards on Wednesday, November 9.

The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday and Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X and Kendrick Lamar lead the pack with seven nominations each. Lamar is nominated in the best cinematography category for his music videos for songs "family ties" and "N95." The rapper, who has not been nominated since 2018, is also nominated for best hip-hop, visual effects, direction, editing and best video.  Kendrick Lamar is nominated in the best cinematography category for his songs "family ties" and "N95." He is nominated in five other categories as well.

During Wednesday night's showing show honoring all things sports, comedian Lil Rel Howery poked fun at NBA star Tristan Thompson amid his latest cheating scandal with his ex, Khloe Kardashian, which saw the basketball player father another child with a woman while in a relationship with the reality star.Howery, who was in the audience but mic'ed up for the bit talks to the crowd and says, «Matter of fact we got Chloe Kim right here,» speaking to the Olympic snowboarder.«I knew you were gonna be successful 'cause you've got two Kardashian names in your name,» he continued. «The only advice I can give you is to watch out for them Tristans, that's all I got to say.»«Yeah I said it!!! The winners of the 2022 ESPY Awards have been announced!

2022 ESPY Awards, Steph Curry used his platform to deliver an impassioned message about Brittney Griner, the imprisoned WNBA star who has spent the past five months behind bars in Russia.Joined by Griner's teammate Skylar Diggins-Smith and fellow WNBA star Nneka Ogwumike, Curry explained said that, amid the night's celebration, they needed to «acknowledge one [athlete] who isn't here» — Griner.«Because Brittney isn't just on the Phoenix Mercury, she isn't just a member of her team in Russia, she isn't just an Olympian, she's one of us — the team of athletes in the room tonight and all over the world, a team that has nothing to do with politics or global conflict,» Curry shared.Ogwumike detailed all of Griner's innumerable accomplishments, sharing, «BG is a WNBA champion, she's an eight-time WNBA all-star, a national champion in college, an Olympic Gold Medalist, an athlete who has fans all over the world, and a human being whose predicament commands our attention.»«It's been 153 nights now that BG has been wrongfully detained thousands of miles away from home, away from her family, away from her friends, away from her team,» an emotional Diggins-Smith shared. «All throughout that time, we've kept her in our thoughts and in our hearts, even though we know that's not nearly enough to bring her home.»«We cannot stop fighting for her, we cannot believing for her, and we will not stop hoping for the day we can welcome her home safely,» Curry concluded, before all three declared in unison, «We are BG.»Later in the evening, Megan Rapinoe took home the ESPY Award for Best Play, and used her acceptance speech to also show her love for Griner, and emphasize the importance of keeping the fight going.«BG deserves to be free.

Russell Wilson is speaking out in support of women's sports. The 33-year-old NFL player stepped out for the 2022 ESPY Awards on Wednesday and used his time on the red carpet to praise female athletes. «I think women's sports is amazing,» the quarterback told ESPN during their pre-show coverage of the event.Russell, who attended the event with his wife, Ciara, praised their 5-year-old daughter Sienna as being «a premier athlete already.» The couple also shares a 1-year-old son, Win, and Ciara is additionally mom to Future, 8, from a previous relationship.Russell then turned his focus to his sister, Anna Wilson, a star basketball player at Stanford University.«Anna, it was always fun watching her ball and go after it.
