Emmy Raver-Lampman is mourning the end of the hit superhero series , which was recently renewed for a fourth and final season on Netflix. “It is bittersweet,” the actress tells ET. On the series, Raver-Lampman portrays one of the Hargreeves siblings named Allison, who became known as the Rumor for her abilities to control minds by whispering the phrase, “I heard a rumor.” “I’m already not looking forward to the last day on set.
I’m gonna be a wreck because we’ve, over five-plus years now, we’ve just all gotten so close and we really do function as a family and love working together,” Raver-Lampman continues, while promoting her return as Molly on season 3 of the animated series . In addition to the actress, the rest of the Hargreeves family is played by Elliot Page (Viktor), Tom Hopper (Luther), David Castañeda (Diego), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Aidan Gallagher (Five) and Justin H. Min (Ben).
Over the course of three seasons, which have introduced several notable characters, the siblings have tested the limits of their relationships while also trying to reverse the ever-impending apocalypse. “I think we are all very grateful that we know going in that it’s our last season because a lot of shows don’t get that opportunity and don’t get to know it’s their last season before it’s done,” Raver-Lampman continues. “And so, I think we’re all very excited to not take a moment of this next season for granted, and go into it one last time and really just celebrate all the work that we’ve done and bring it to a close and have a proper ending for these characters and not have any loose threads.” Speaking of loose threads, season 3 ended with its most ambitious cliffhanger yet, leaving the family without its powers as they separate in

, the Emmy-nominated and acclaimed animated musical series, is back with a third season on Apple TV+. The new episodes continue to follow the Tillerman family -- park caretaker Owen (Leslie Odom Jr.), his wife and reporter, Paige (Kathryn Hahn), and their two kids, Molly (Emmy Raver-Lampman) and Cole (Tituss Burgess) -- as they navigate life in New York City. In addition to an exclusive clip from the first three episodes featuring the Tillerman siblings preparing for the arrival of Paige’s sister, Abby (Kristen Bell, who returns to the series after Raver-Lampman replaced her as Molly after season 1), Raver-Lampman opens up to ET about what to expect from the series and if she and boyfriend Daveed Diggs, who voices Helen, the bewildered assistant to mogul magnate Bitsy (Stanley Tucci), will ever get to record together. One thing that I love about Molly is that she’s constantly evolving and she’s constantly changing like any normal teenager, and she’s moving through adolescence, sometimes with grace and sometimes a little clumsily.
cast to star in Randall Park’s feature film adaptation of “Shortcomings” alongside Ally Maki and Sherry Cola. He’s also set to co-star in the Steven Yeun comedy series “Beef” for Netflix and A24.
Matt Donnelly Senior Film Writer Justin H. Min has joined the cast of Searchlight Pictures’ “The Greatest Hits,” Variety has learned exclusively. Star of Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy” and breakout in the Sundance player “After Yang,” Min joins the previously announced Lucy Boynton in the emotional movie musical from writer-director Ned Benson (“The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby”). While character details are under wraps, the project is described as a love story centering on the connection between music and memory, and how the two transport us (in the case of this film, physically).
“Virgin River” takes place. But that’s part of the series charm: it’s reliable and old-shoe comfortable and its two stars, Martin Henderson (Jack) and Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel), are telegenic and appealing in portraying their bumpy love story. The Season 4 finale took a few detours, tied up some loose ends and set up story arcs for Season 5, premiering next year on Netflix. By that time, you’ll have forgotten what happened in the season-ender.Here’s a reminder.I suppose the biggest shocker was that Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) did not deliver her twins, despite what’s been a three-year pregnancy (five months in the series timeline, but still, enough already).
Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Randall Park has cast Justin H. Min, Sherry Cola and Ally Maki to star in his directorial debut “Shortcomings.” The film, a comedic drama, will also feature Tavi Gevinson (“Gossip Girl”), Debby Ryan (“The Suite Life on Deck,” “Insatiable”), Sonoya Mizuno (“House of The Dragon”), Timothy Simons (“Veep”) and Jacob Batalon (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”). Described as a “hilariously irreverent examination of racial politics, sexual mores and pop culture,” “Shortcomings” follows a cynical movie theater manager Ben (Min) and his irrepressible best friend Alice (Cola). Together, the Bay Area urbanites navigate Ben’s disintegrating relationship with his girlfriend Miko (Maki), Alice’s serial-dating habits and other obstacles in the way of their personal growth.

first Emmy nomination for “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in the Outstanding Variety Talk Series category, host Seth Meyers sat down with TheWrap for our inaugural video AMA to answer fan-submitted questions about everything from “SNL” memories to his favorite soup. Indeed, we relayed a diverse range of questions to Meyers that fully embodied the spirit of “Ask Me Anything,” and unsurprisingly the “Late Night” host was more than game to answer.“I know you’re supposed to say you’re not excited about these things because they don’t matter, but I was deeply excited by the Emmy nomination,” Meyers said with a chuckle when asked how he was feeling about the show’s Emmy nomination for Variety Talk Series. This is the first nomination for “Late Night” in the category since Meyers’ show began in 2014, although the show has previously received four nominations in the Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series category (and Meyers himself is also nominated this year for Outstanding Short Form Comedy alongside executive producer Mike Shoemaker for the YouTube exclusive “Corrections”).Much has been written about the evolution of “Late Night” during the pandemic, in which the show shifted into a more loose and surprisingly serialized form with Meyers interacting directly with the show’s fans via YouTube comments.
