Emmerdale looks set for explosive scenes during the ITV soap's 50th anniversary stunt week where pregnant teenager Amelia Spencer will be trapped alone in dramatic labour scenes. In upcoming episodes, Amelia will go into labour after making a "mistake" at the exact same time a deadly and terrifying storm hits the village. With the force of the wind, Amelia is blown about and with her contractions having started she desperately calls her dad, Dan Spencer, for help.
Dan panics when he gets the call and his worry increases when Amelia's phone dies before she can tell him exactly where she is. Hiding out in a barn and with her contractions continuing, petrified Amelia prays for her and her baby’s safety and desperately hopes someone will find her. As her panic grows, Kim Tate mounts her horse and rides out to the rescue in search of her, while Harriet Finch heads out to search on a quad bike.
But will they find her on time? Teasing the upcoming episodes, Amelia actress Daisy Campbell said: "Amelia is on her way to meet Noah at Wylie’s farm for a picnic as he is working there with Marcus. "She ends up taking a short cut and she gets shifted by a strong gale of wind. She slightly falls but is not hurt but she then starts to feel her first contraction.There’s a lot of wind going on and heading towards the village is a very bad storm." Daisy added: "The weather isn’t looking good at all, she panics for a bit as she doesn’t really know what is going on.
