Emmerdale star Paige Sandhu has revealed more about her alter-ego Meena Jutla’s anticipated downfall on the ITV soap. Viewers have been watching open-mouthed as serial killer Meena recently made her dramatic return to the Dales.
And she’s not done it quietly, kidnapping newlyweds Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and keeping them hostage. But now Paige has said her current revenge storyline marks “the beginning of the end” for the universally hated soap character.
Paige has also teased further details, explaining that she hopes Meena will eventually be confronted by those she’s wronged in an ultimate showdown. She said: “Usually everything slots into place when Meena makes a plan, but this time is different as things go wrong which could potentially mean trouble for her.” The actress continued: “As for whether she finally gets her comeuppance, I feel like it’s the most satisfying thing for all involved that we see the people Meena has hurt have their say, and a chance to go up against her.” Paige added: “It would be a shame if we never got to see that.
