Emmerdale fans have been stunned by the recent Dales drama which saw Leyla Harding (played by Roxy Shahidi) get shot by the evil Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) who then appeared to be killed in Wednesday's night's episode by the vengeful Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson). Prior to the scenes airing, OK! caught up with Olivia Bromley – who plays blushing bride Dawn Taylor in the ITV soap – who revealed just how much fans of the soap dislike the murdering Meena.
Olivia revealed: "The hatred towards Meena is intense! In the supermarket some people stop me and say, 'Watch out for that Meena.' I’ve also had so many people say they’re rooting for Billy and Dawn which I didn’t expect.' Meanwhile, at a press conference with OK! and other media outlets, Meena actress Paige admitted that she does what she can to steer clear of social media.
"I always avoid any comments on Emmerdale and any social media things because I think, you know, people can be quite angry sometimes," Paige laughed. She continued: "The comments that I've received have always been nice and people tell me they've been enjoying Meena.
