The newcomer arrives in the Dales to learn more about his father, who was jailed for raping Rhona after their wedding in 2017 and has now been diagnosed with cancer while in prison.
However, Darcy has now revealed that before landing the impressive role he wasn't sure if acting would work out for him. He added: "It was very much the case of keep on going, and just not giving in when I was attending the auditions. "So now that I am actually in Emmerdale, it really is a pinch me moment."
