Emmerdale has been hit with Ofcom complaints over its Meena Jutla murder storyline on the ITV soap. Only recently, Meena (Paige Sandhu) held sister Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) hostage in an abandoned barn and planned to kill them both in a horrific double murder plot. However, Manpreet and Vinny were saved by Liam Cavanagh as Meena escaped the crime scene on a lorry heading to Glasgow, although, she is set to return in upcoming scenes.

Ofcom has now revealed that an episode, which aired on Wednesday January 12, has received 65 complaints where Meena threatened Manpreet and Vinny before leaving the Dingle van inside the barn with the exhaust running.The watchdog, who confirmed the complaints were to do with the "ongoing Meena storyline", also received 65 from Tuesday 4 January episode and 91 from Wednesday 5 January. ITV declined to comment when approached by OK! It comes after Emmerdale bosses Laura Shaw and Jane Hudson spoke to OK! and other press outlets about Meena's "judgement day". They teased: "Well, I think it's fair to say that judgement day for Meena is coming.
