This led to Cain and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) embarking on a car chase to retrieve Noah's laptop that Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) had stolen and tried to prevent Al from going to the police station with.

After Chas reluctantly went away, however, Al was able to save Cain. After the dramatic scenes, Emmerdale fans expressed their shock on Twitter.
“Personally think it would have been better if al left cain to die,” wrote one. “Soooo, are we thinking Al is going to get Cain out, then the pole will fall and kill Al?” another said.
