Emmerdale fans were left in tears on Thursday night as Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd lost their baby in heartbreaking scenes after they learnt it was an ectopic pregnancy. During the latest episode, Charity, who revealed her pregnancy last month, collapsed with bad stomach pains as she was found by Mackenzie on the floor.The worried couple then rushed to hospital where they tragically learnt that Charity's pregnancy is ectopic and therefore not viable as they processed the devastating news.
Mackenzie was left heartbroken as he struggled to understand what was happening as Charity explained: "It means the baby is in the wrong place so it can't survive…" At the end of the episode, after tragically losing their baby, Mackenzie tried to talk to Charity about what had happened as she insisted she didn't want to, adding: "I'd rather just put all this behind us." Viewers were left in tears over the emotional scenes as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts. One person said: "Aww poor Mack and Charity #Emmerdale" followed with a crying emoji.

It comes as Lawrence Robb, who plays Mackenzie, spoke about the devastating storyline and admitted his character is in "denial".
