Emmerdale fans went wild on Monday's episode as they recognised new prison officer star Dean Smith from Waterloo Road. During the latest instalment, Meena Jutla, who is awaiting her murder trial, decided to flirt with the new guard as she commented: "Ooh! That's more like it.
You're a vast improvement on Officer Redwood. I'm a sucker for a pretty boy!" The new prison officer was left both flattered and confused as he warned: "You're not allowed to talk to me like that!" However, soap fans were left distracted by the scenes as they instantly recognised Dean Smith, who plays the new prison officer, as they took to Twitter to share their excitement.
