“House of the Dragon,” the series will be set around 300 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” and it will follow members of House Targaryen.So, expect lots of dragons, silver wigs and dalliances that keep it in the family.

HBO has had a few false starts when it comes to expanding the “Game of Thrones” universe. After the lackluster (putting it mildly) end of the series a couple of years ago, the network is extra cautious with what series they release next, as it’s clear fans are going to probably enter the deal with a bit of skepticism.

We’re getting the first look at Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. HBO has released the first official images of the series, which hails from George R.R. Martin, Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik.
