Emergency services swarmed Paisley’s museum on Friday night after a man fell from scaffolding on the historic building.
The Special Operations Response Team (SORT) raced to the site – which is currently undergoing a £42million refurbishment – around 7.30pm following a call from museum security staff.
The dramatic scene saw more than six emergency service vehicles fill the town’s High Street as they attended the incident as stunned onlookers watched it unfold.

Security officers at the town’s museum contacted police after becoming concerned for the welfare of a man who had fallen from scaffolding at the site.
Firefighters, paramedics and police raced to the scene to attend to the man, who was found injured when they arrived.
One person, who witnessed the drama, told the Express: “It looked really serious.
“There was more than one ambulance and a few police cars as well as a fire engine.
“We saw someone being taken away in a stretcher and put in the back of an ambulance.
“Thankfully it appeared that it looked more serious than it actually was as it was quite a sight to see in the High Street.”
The injured man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley to be checked over, but police confirmed he did not sustain any serious injuries as a result of the fall.
A spokesman from Police Scotland said: “We received a call from security staff at Paisley Museum around 7.30pm on January 21 following concerns for a member of the public who had fallen from scaffolding at the site.
