This weekend will see the highly-anticipated return of Record Store Day - an annual event held every April to celebrate the cultural significance of the independently owned record store. The international event brings together fans, artists and thousands of record shops around the world, including more than 260 shops in the UK.

Hulu’s terrific hit mini-series “The Dropout” from showrunner/writer/creator Elizabeth Meriwether (“New Girl”), starring Amanda Seyfried (“Mank”), is easily one of our favorite shows of the year thus far. The father of a murdered police officer has backed calls for a new posthumous award for emergency service workers who die in the line of duty.
