An Elf on the Shelf prank hilariously backfired on a mum after letting her teenage sons take over. The pair helped the elves party hard and wreck the mother's kitchen with their evening hijinks.
The holiday tradition has taken the world by storm in recent years, with parents in competition to find the most creative spots to hide their elves from their kids. Some however opt for a slightly different approach and decide to fix their elves doing all sorts of weird and wonderful things.
However, one mum decided to let her children decide what to do with the dolls. She was left stunned to find what mischief her two elves had got up to the night before when she walked into her kitchen, reports the Mirror.
The mother took to social media to share the brutal prank played by her teenage sons, who turned the room into a tip, with the elves at the centre of the chaos. In a video, shared to TikTok, the mother can be seen walking into the kitchen to display the mess her sons made.

The video shows dog food spilling out the sides onto the floor, with the elf covered in flour. The mother continues walking and you can see pieces of half-eaten food along the trail of flour.
The camera then shows the kitchen counter, which has an open container of flour lying on its side. Then, viewers can see a frying pan with food in it and a second elf lying on the hob.
The clip has gone viral on the video sharing app and, at the time of writing, has amassed over 800k views and almost 40k likes. Social media users loved the short clip which left them buckled with
