EastEnders fans may have just welcomed back Shane Richie’s Alfie Moon, but his return could be short-lived as new photos from from the set show that Alfie has managed to find himself at the wrong end of a gun. Alfie made his return to the square determined to win back ex-wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), despite her engagement to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). As the wedding approached, both Kat and Phil had exes confess their love and try to convince against the marriage.
And while Kat and Phil’s wedding was ultimately called off, the pair remain together, planning a second wedding day - one that ideally won’t be interrupted by anyone’s ex... While fans may find themselves rooting for the iconic duo of Kat and Alfie to get together, it seems that Alfie’s to win her back may be cut short. Photos from the set of the long-running soap show Shane filming intense scenes with other actors, including one in a mask who is armed with a gun.
No specific plot details have been revealed, but it looks like the situation may put the former landlord's life at risk. In the scenes being filmed, it appears that Alfie is ordered into a car by a group of men, at least one of whom is seen holding a gun. It remains unclear where the character is being forced to drive, or if he’ll return from this journey alive.The filming of these dramatic scenes comes after viewers noticed a mysterious phone call Alfie made not long after he came back, which some fans assumed was to a secret girlfriend, wife or family.
