EastEnders stars Bobby Brazier and Ellie Dadd were pictured having a blast after wrapping up filming for the day. The newcomers, who play Freddie Slater and Amy Mitchell respectively, were all smiles as they left the studios where the BBC One soap is filmed. The pair smiled for photographers as they enjoyed the good weather after finishing up on set.
Bobby, son of Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier, is yet to make his on-screen debut, but it was confirmed last month that he had landed the part of Freddie Slater in the long-running serial drama. Freddie is Little Mo’s (Kacey Ainsworth) son, and was last seen in the Square when he was just a baby, all the way back in 2006. Now 18 years old, the character will stage a huge Walford comeback this autumn – and he finds himself on a mission that could very well end in heartbreak!Freddie has a heart of gold but it’s safe to say that he is also trouble! He’s far from shy and even manages to cause a stir wherever he ends up.
He’ll fit right in in Walford!Discussing his new role, Bobby said: ‘I’m really excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders – so far it’s been perfect. Everybody has been so beautiful to me and made settling in easier than I could’ve hoped. ‘Stepping into the acting world has always been a vision of mine and doing that with EastEnders as a Slater is a blessing, I’m very grateful.
Loving every minute of Freddie so far and can’t wait to see what’s in store for him in Walford. ’Ellie, meanwhile, took over the role of Amy Mitchell from actress Abbie Burke, who had played the part since 2014. Her debut scenes aired on Tuesday (August 9), with subsequent episodes already available on BBC iPlayer, as the character takes centre stage in a big storyline.
