EastEnders' Adam Woodyatt offered cafe job 'washing pots' as Ian Beale role ends

Eastenders has finally dropped a trailer teasing Prince Charles and Camilla’s special appearance on the show to mark The Queen ’s Platinum Jubilee. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall’s unprecedented appearance on the long-running soap will see the worlds of TV and royalty collide, when the episode airs on Thursday, June 2.

EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt, best known for his portrayal of Albert Square's Ian Beale, has put any plans of returning to the show in doubt after signing up for a new BBC show. The actor, 53, was among the original cast when the soap first aired and his tenure on the show made his the longest serving male cast member in the soap's history.  In 2013, Adam was honoured at the British Soap Awards for his time on the show with a Lifetime Achievement Award. However, in 2020 he announced he would be taking an extended break from EastEnders and during an appearance on Steph's Packed Lunch, he told the Teesside presenter he had "no plan" to go back.

EastEnders fans have been left feeling upset after watching Ben Mitchell's harrowing rape scenes with bartender Lewis Butler. Character Ben, who is played by Max Bowden, has been developing a close friendship with the new manager of Prince Albert Lewis, played by Aiden O'Callaghan recently. But things took an abrupt turn for the worst when Lewis didn't take "no" for an answer on Monday 23 May evening's episode of the popular BBC soap opera.

Now, she's been seen in a snap on Kellie Shirley's Instagram feed, looking healthy and happy as ever as she marked her milestone birthday. Kellie, who portrayed Carly Wicks on the soap opera, shared a sweet snap for her 3,131 followers to see, which showed her laughing with her two kids as Pam sat close by.
