Drew Barrymore, Ke Huy Quan Reunite to Present Steven Spielberg With Time 100 Impact Award

Drew Barrymore, throughout her tenure as host of The Drew Barrymore Show, which premiered in 2020, has become known not only as a stellar host, but as a  candid and vulnerable one. Nearly no topic is off limits over at the hit morning show, and when it comes to its guests, the host isn't afraid to include even her exes, or her exes' current partners either!The star has already had ex-boyfriend Justin Long on her show, for the premiere of season three back in September of 2022.

The White House hosted a screening of the upcoming Disney+ series American Born Chinese, and in remarks beforehand, President Joe Biden keyed in on the presence of its star, recent Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.

Drew Barrymore dropped out of hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards in solidarity with the writers strike. However, the opening bit that was pretaped before the WGA strike still aired during the telecast and Never Been Kissed fans were treated to the actor reprising her role of Josie Grossie.

There was little talk of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike currently impacting the industry.

Drew Barrymore is taking a stand. The popular daytime talk show host has pulled out of hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards in solidarity and support of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) going on strike this week.In a statement to ET, Barrymore said she has agreed to return to host next year's edition while explaining in great detail why she opted to make the choice of stepping down.«I have listened to the writers, and in order to truly respect them, I will pivot from hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards live in solidarity with the strike,» she said in a statement.

The A100 List honors trailblazers across the industry who are at the forefront of what the organization calls the “new gold age.” Gold House will celebrate these honorees and announce several new initiatives at the second annual Gold Gala during AAPI month on May 6 in downtown Los Angeles. “It’s impossible to fully appreciate the artistic and entrepreneurial renaissance that is currently underway without Gold House,” said honoree Jose Antonio Vargas, the founder of Define American and one of the lead producers of Broadway’s “Here Lies Love.” “With Gold House at the forefront, not only are Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the mainstream — we are helping define what is mainstream.”

Gold House has unveiled its annual A100, the list that honors the 100 Asian Pacific leaders impacting American culture and society. The list includes names like Sandra Oh, Ke Huy Quan, Joanna Gaines and Angels baseball player Shohei Ohtani.
