Joe Otterson TV ReporterThe Disney Plus “Doogie Howser” reboot, “Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.,” has cast Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman in a series regular role, Variety has learned exclusively.Bowyer-Chapman joins previously announced cast members Peyton Elizabeth Lee and Kathleen Rose Perkins. The rebooted series will focus on Lahela “Doogie” Kameāloha (Lee), a mixed race 16-year-old girl who works as a doctor in Hawaii.

“I love Lucille [Ball], having looked now and delved into her,” Nicole Kidman told Variety when discussing her role in Aaron Sorkin’s Being the Ricardos.
