A dog has died and a man was injured following a crash in Ayrshire.
The incident took place around 9.30am on Friday October 15 on Ladywell Avenue, Girvin, near to the junction with the B741.
It involved a car and a heavy goods vehicle.
As a result of the crash, the male driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Sadly a dog which was also in the car died as a result of its injuries.
Police in Ayrshire are appealing for information and witnesses.
