United failed to win for the first time under new manager Erik ten Hag after letting a two-goal lead slip in horrendous conditions during the match in Perth.
Ten Hag's side went ahead when Sancho netted in the first-half, before the winger set-up Marcus Rashford with a cross, who saw his deflected effort diverted into the net by a defender.
PLAYER RATINGS: Sancho and Fred good vs Aston Villa
Villa grabbed one back after a brilliant individual goal from Leon Bailey, before Steven Gerrard's side rescued a draw with the last touch of the match when Calum Chambers headed in from a corner.
Asked how he found the match, Dalot told MUTV : "Difficult. I think you all can see. Difficult conditions, the pitch was not very good for playing football. But I think we did a good first half. We scored two beautiful goals, the way we wanted to play it.
"Second-half a little bit difficult. I think we could come into the second-half a little bit more lively. We conceded some counter-attacks that we shouldn't have.
"Obviously the pitch was getting difficult, so the game was a little bit more ugly, but in the end, I think we should be happy for what we've done this tour."
