The controversy around the collapse of the royal marriage between Princess Diana and Prince Charles was extraordinary and was the centre of the media for some time, but it was heightened to another level with Andrew Morton’s tell-all book, Diana: Her True Story.The book - published in 1992 - covered Charles and Diana's loveless marriage, Charles’s alleged infidelity, and the princess’s struggles with bulimia, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. And heartbreakingly, when the marriage finally ended in 1996, Prince William told his mother he wanted to become a policeman to protect her in case she was stripped of her royal title. “He once told her he wanted to be a policeman so that he could protect her,” says royal expert Robert Jobson.

As his mother’s coffin lay on a gun carriage, draped in the Royal Standard and white lilies, a teenage Prince William bowed his head in deep mourning. But while he could easily have broken down during the funeral for the late Princess Diana of Wales, the 15-year-old held back the tears, giving younger brother Harry extra strength to cope with such a heartbreaking ordeal.

Prince Harry has reportedly seen the "curtain come down" on any possibility of harmony between him, his wife Meghan Markle and the rest of his family, after a meeting with his father Prince Charles whilst he was in the UK. Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, and their children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, made the transatlantic trip from their home in Montecito, California for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations just over a week ago. According to reports, the Duke and Duchess were hoping for a peace meeting with Prince Charles whilst they were in the UK, however a royal expert reported that there were "no touchy feely" vibes coming from the 73 year old first-in-line to the throne.

Royal fans have highlighted the close resemblance they believe Princess Charlotte and Lilibet have to their grandmother, Diana, Princess of Wales. Comparisons between the cousins and the late monarch were sparked after a fan account named @loveprincessdiana, which was created in memory of the Princess of Wales, posted several side-by-side baby photos of the Royals.

“Jurassic World: Dominion” and Neill, 74, recently chatted with GQ about meeting the princess of Wales, whom he sat next to during the film premiere in England.“When we went to London, I was sitting beside Princess Diana, and she was jumping out of her skin. That was fun,” the New Zealander said.“I’d seen [the movie] three or four times by then,” the “Tudors” star went on.

Jeff Goldblum is looking back to the red carpet premieres he first attended for as he walks the red carpet at the premiere of the latest installment almost 30 years later.Goldblum, 69, walked the carpet at the world premiere of in Hollywood on Monday, and he spoke with ET's Kevin Frazier about the legacy of the film and his memories of the star-studded premieres that went down in 1993.«There were, you know, there were a few, with things like this.... I'll tell you, you know, the first one we had, I'm remembering London,» Goldblum shared. «We showed it to — speaking of the Jubilee, the Platinum Jubilee — we showed it to Princess Diana and we had a kind of a royal screening.»«Steven Spielberg was here, Sam Neil was here, Princess Diana was here, you know, and we showed we showed them the movie,» Goldblum recalled.When asked about getting to stand next to Princess Diana at the time, Goldblum interjected, «Not standing, sitting!»As Goldblum recalls, he sat next to the Princess of Wales and the pair even shared popcorn, apparently.«That's all I can say,» Goldblum joked. «No, I was very much a gentleman and she was a spectacular lady.»For Goldblum, the fact that this franchise has spanned this long is almost unimaginable.«Yes, 30 years, jeez. Kate Middleton channeled the late Princess Diana during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The celebration – which honors the Queen’s 70 years on the throne – kicked off on Thursday with the Trooping the Colour ceremony.  Middleton stunned during the ceremony in a white Alexander McQueen coat dress, paired with her late mother-in-law’s diamond and sapphire earrings. She completed her look with some stunning jewels from Princess Diana’s collection.The diamond and sapphire earrings Kate wore came with a matching necklace that she also sported at the event.The jewellery is believed to have been a present from Prince William before their wedding that took place in April 2011.The late Princess of Wales visited Ottawa in 1983 alongside Prince Charles and sported the glistening jewels with a pearl choker.

Jennie Bond told OK! that The Queen has always had more in common with the Duchess of Cornwall than she did with the late Diana, Princess of Wales, but said that our monarch struggled to endorse her son Prince Charles' "adulterous relationship" with Camilla. The royal expert, who worked for the BBC for 23 years, gave her views ahead of the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations.
