Superstars from both sides of the Atlantic joined forces on Saturday evening in London to put on a Platinum Party at the Palace, as part of the celebrations to celebrate the British monarch’s 70th anniversary on the throne. 

What a night it has been celebrating the Platinum Jubilee with an incredible concert in front of Buckingham Palace, after a busy day for the royals.The show-stopping event included speeches from Prince Charles and Prince William, as well as performances from pop royalty, including Diana Ross.The 96-year-old monarch has been experiencing mobility problems and wasn't in attendance at the evening event, but the music boomed so loudly it was an evening to be enjoyed by all around the UK.Thousands had tickets, and others filled The Mall leading up to Buckingham Palace and waved Union Jacks in celebration of Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne.The packed show was broadcast on BBC, but for those who missed the incredible concert, here are some moments you won't want to have missed... Cheeky comedian Lee Mack wasted no time in using the Queen's Platinum Jubilee as an opportunity to stick the knife in Boris Johnson – metaphorically of course.The northern comic, 53, opened the concert, which is being held outside the gates of Buckingham Palace, by making light of the so-called 'partygate' affair in Downing Street. Speaking with the Prime Minister in attendance, who was in the royal box, Mack said: "Finally we can say the words ‘party’ and ‘gate’ and it’s a positive." The joke drew cheers and laughs from the crowd.The embarrassing quip comes just a day after the PM was booed outside St Paul's Cathedral as he attended the Thanksgiving service with members of the Royal Family.

Skipping another affair? After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle publicly attended the Service of Thanksgiving as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, the twosome were notably absent from her “Platinum Party” concert — though other royal family members were in attendance.

Kim Murphy The Platinum Party at the Palace officially kicked off Saturday evening at Buckingham Palace with an opening sketch featuring Queen Elizabeth II and Paddington Bear sharing a meal.“Perhaps you would like a marmalade sandwich? I always keep one for emergencies,” Paddington Bear asks Her Majesty, procuring a sticky treat from his red bucket cap.“So do I,” the Queen replies, showcasing her own sandwich after reaching into her bag.

Nile Rodgers has shared a sneak peek at the jaw-dropping stage for this evening’s Party at the Palace. The event, located outside Buckingham Palace, is set to kick off at 8pm, where some huge musical names will perform. People have been working hard to resurrect the large T-shaped stage, which goes right up to the Palace gates.

Elton John took to Instagram on Thursday to insist he is in good health after he was pictured looking frail in a wheelchair after suffering a fall.  Sharing a picture of himself on stage, the 75-year-old wrote: 'I want to thank all my fans for reaching out to ask about my health. Diana Ross and Tame Impala have shared their collaborative single ‘Turn Up The Sunshine’.The song, which you can listen to below, will appear on the soundtrack for the latest film in the Despicable Me franchise, Minions: The Rise Of Gru.It is the first single to be taken from the soundtrack and was co-written by Jack Antonoff, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, singer Sam Dew and Grammy-winning Swedish musician/producer Patrik Berger.The song, which is described as a “joyous,dance-inducing” number, begins with what sounds like the voices of young children repeating the titular phrase, before Ross takes on the lead vocals.The star-studded 19-song soundtrack album also features the likes of St. Vincent, Phoebe Bridgers, Brockhampton and Antonoff’s band Bleachers.
