Depeche Mode’s Andy Fletcher dies

Emmerdale actor Andy Devine died of pneumonia after having an "accidental fall", a coroner has found.The star, who played Shadrach Dingle on the ITV soap, sadly passed away at the age of 79 on January 27, but it was only revealed on Monday 3 May. It has been revealed that Andy, who's real name is Peter Devine, contracted the disease after he was admitted to hospital following an accidental fall. "He was unable to get up until his carers arrived to assist him which was about an hour later," Sefton Senior Coroner Julie Goulding said in a statement.

ITV soap, died of unknown causes. Public records seen by The Sun confirm he died in January but news of his passing has only recently emerged. Devine served in the Royal Navy in the 1960s before turning his hand to acting.
