Deborah James' family share update on fundraising efforts amid end-of-life care

The family of Dame Deborah James have issued an emotional update on her final mission to raise funds for bowel cancer, as she continues to receive end of life hospice care at her home. Deborah has been undergoing the palliative care at her home since early May, with the star admitting that she has been struggling with the side effects of sleeping pills, but revealed that she had been able to enjoy a sleepover with her loved ones as she continues to make lasting memories with those dearest to her.
So far, the 40 year old has had a rose named after her, launched her very own fashion collection and even been immortalised as a Lego character, but the thing that has made Deborah the most passionate, is her ongoing mission to raise vital funds for others suffering from Bowel Cancer via her BowelBabe fund. So far, the podcaster who became best known for her role on the You, Me and the Big C podcast, has raised over £6.6 million for charities such as Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Bowel Cancer UK and the Royal Marsden Hospital.

In a recent update on the fund’s Instagram page, Deborah’s family thanked everyone for their donations and the huge difference they could make to cancer sufferers worldwide.They wrote: ”Through donations, fundraising and partnerships we are all continuing to raise an incredible amount of money that will help give more Deborah's more time.
