David Walliams' ex-wife Lara Stone, 38, has admitted the "fame" that came from her relationship with the comedian, children's author and TV presenter utterly "terrifying". The Dutch supermodel has a career in the spotlight in her own right, but being with the Britain's Got Talent judge was another level of attention she wasn't ready for. The former couple were together for six years before deciding to call it quits, and also share son Alfred together.
They began dating in 2009 after reportedly first meeting at a Chelsea football match. David, 50, who recently opened up on fatherhood being the "best" part of his life, and Lara then announced their engagement in January 2010, before tying the knot in a whirlwind of romance only four months later. Unfortunately, by 2015 the couple had announced they were getting a divorce, with David citing "unreasonable behaviour" as the reason. Lara has since opened up on her struggles with being in the public eye during their marriage. Reflecting on one of the occasions paparazzi had started following her as terrifying, the model also said the experience was "bewildering".
"I'd been at his house and was walking back to the Tube and this car was driving next to me and they were taking pictures the whole time," she explained. "It was just so bewildering and terrifying," Lara added to Dutch Vogue. When David and Lara broke up, it was announced that the former was calling it quits on the relationship.
