Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has claimed that Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay would be a 'nightmare' to play against.
The Scotland international came under criticism for his personal performance in United's defeat to Brighton on the opening day of the new season, with a number of Reds legends slamming the midfielder.
McTominay was dropped to the substitutes bench for the defeat to Brentford, but did come on in the match. However, the 25-year-old has been impressive in recent weeks with United winning their last four matches.

Following his strong showings in the past few matches, ex-Liverpool man Murphy has praised McTominay for his 'outstanding' performances.
"In the last few games McTominay has kept Casemiro out the team," Murphy told talkSPORT.
"I think he's been outstanding. His desire to get back into defensive positions, the amount of runners he tracks, crosses he heads out and blocks he backs.
"If anyone wants to think negatively of him, go back and watch United's last three games and watch him.
"When you’re trying to keep your place in the United side and you’re trying to turn around a couple of losses early in the season, you want everybody at it.
"United fans will love his performances the last few games because he’s never going to be a Michael Carrick and have the elegance of someone like Carrick with two feet and playing out through the lines, from the back, that’s not what he does.
"But he’ll give everything to destroy and stop the opposition scoring. He’d be a nightmare to play against, the way he is at the minute.
"He looks full of energy, full of confidence. He’s got two ballers around him in (Bruno)
