Danny Dyer 'set to present new Channel 4 reality show' after Eastenders exit

A host of soap stars, including EastEnders' Lacey Turner and Lorraine Stanley, let their hair down at the afterparty following the Inside Soap Awards. Following the return of an in-person Inside Soap Awards, after the previous two were hosted virtually, the attendees carried on partying the night away as they attended the ceremony's glamorous after-party.The ceremony made for a rather huge night for the cast and crew of EastEnders, with the show scooping the Best Soap Award.

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier looked in good spirits as he attended the National Television Awards on Thursday 13 October with his fellow BBC One co-stars. 19 year old Bobby, who made his debut as Freddie Slater on the popular soap last month, appears to have well and truly settled into his new job after he was captured laughing and joking with EastEnders actress Danielle Harold as they made their way home from the star-studded ceremony. As the pair walked outside London’s Wembley Arena, Bobby and 30 year old Danielle were all smiles and put on a happy display as they were met by waiting fans and photographers.

Former EastEnders' star Danniella Westbrook has landed her first acting gig in six years after her EastEnders role was recast.The actress is headed to the West End to play the Fairy Godmother in adult pantomime, Sinderfella which has been dubbed a “delightful and risqué version" of Disney's Cinderella. Danniella, 48, will play the role alongside Big Brother's Simon Gross who is cast as one of the Ugly Sisters and a show insider said the former soap star "couldn't wait to get back to her acting roots".The source told The Sun: "She is nervous as she hasn't acted since she returned to EastEnders back in 2016, but her passion has always been acting so she is super excited for this next chapter of her career." Daniella played Sam Mitchell in EastEnders during the 1990s and she recently hit out at the BBC for recasting a different actress as her former character.

EastEnders has confirmed that six characters will be returning for Dot Cotton's emotional funeral after actress June Brown passed away aged 95 in April. Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), George "Lofty" Holloway (Tom Watt), Colin Russell (Lord Michael Cashman CBE), Barry Clark (Gary Hailes), Mary "the punk" Smith (Linda Davidson) and Disa O’Brien (Jan Graveson) will join together to say goodbye to Dot. The returning cast are currently filming scenes for the emotional funeral, where they share their cherished memories of Dot, and will also bring viewers up to date with their lives.

EastEnders have released the first snaps of Alfie Moon with his bride Joan as they get set to say 'I Do' on their surprise wedding day. The news that Alfie (played by Shane Richie) is getting married was as much of a shock to viewers as it was to his former wife Kat (Jessie Wallace). Especially since he has spent the weeks since his return pursuing his former wife and attempting to woo her back – even risking the wrath of Phil Mitchell in the process.

It's a dramatic week in EastEnders as Nish (Navin Chowdhry) gets his feet back under the table while Jack (Scott Maslen) lets his temper get the better of him and it has serious repercussions.The week begins with Vinny (Shiv Jalota) supporting his dad but Nish is disappointed when Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) and Kheerat (Jaz Deol) fail to show for a family lunch. When Nish collapses Nina arrives to find Ash tending to him. Nish shares some touching words with his daughter.

Viewers of both EastEnders and House of the Dragon were shocked to see a familiar face in the most recent episode of the Game of Thrones spin-off. The episode began with Rhaenys Targaryen explaining that “it’s been six years” since the events of the previous instalment, so it’s unsurprising that new characters were introduced.
