The last photo of former Dancing on Ice professional skater Sean Rice has been revealed to be a selfie with his wife, Jodeyne Higgins, and daughter, Signey. In the sweet snap Sean, Jodeyne and Signey are cuddled up together in front of a lit up Christmas tree as the trio beamed at the camera. Jodeyne edited a festive frame around the picture that read: "Peace joy love, Jodeyne, Signey, Sean".
She posted the photograph on Facebook on Christmas Day. Tragically, just three weeks after the photograph was shared, Sean passed away on 14 January aged 49. The cause of the skater’s death remains unreported.
Frankie Poulter, a close friend of Sean’s, was the one to break the news about his passing, and took to Twitter to share her condolences. “Pro skaters are heartbroken today, we lost a true larger than life great - an epic skater, a husband, father, and my friend of 20 years,” she wrote. “Sean Rice, 20/07/72 - 14/01/22 gone too soon, but we will Love You For A Thousand Years.
