Dancing on Ice star Bez has tested positive for Covid-19. It comes just 24 hours after he made his skating debut on the ITV show with partner, Angela.
However, the Happy Mondays musician, 57, has confirmed in a statement that he'll be returning in week three, which is the show's traditional Movie Week. Speaking to the Daily Star on Monday evening, the musician confirmed: "I've had a positive test.
"I'm gutted because I'm going to be missing training but I'm looking forward to skating on the show again for Week Three and I'll be tuning at home and cheering on my mates who are skating this weekend." An ITV spokesperson told OK!: "We have stringent protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all our contributors and staff which are routinely monitored and updated to reflect the current guidelines." Bez's positive test result is a crushing blow, with ITV bosses' hopes of avoiding another chaotic series now in doubt. Last year, the series was plagued with bad luck, with several celebrities testing positive and getting injured.
