Girl, 11, who survived plane crash speaks out on hero dad's final act that saved her
plane crash has been told as she spoke out for the first time.Laney Perdue and here dad, Mike, 43, were heading out on a flight to Beaver Island from Gaylord, Michigan – just a 20-minute journey – when things began to go wrong very quickly. She was going to visit friends, while her dad was off to hunt with family, back in November. All Laney remembers of her journey was getting on the plane at 1.30pm, and then being held by her father in a “bear hug”-like grip. She told People magazine: “(I remember looking out of ) one of those little windows and seeing the grass and feeling my dad's arm around me.“I felt this feeling in my stomach like the plane just dropped, and my dad had his feet out like he was bracing for something.“The last thing I remember is my dad giving me the tightest hug ever - I'm alive because of him.”The plane had crashed, just three miles away from where it was due to land.Sadly, her dad was killed, as were two other passengers, two dogs and pilot William Julian. The youngster ended up with 11 broken bones as well as injuries to her face. Her mum, Christie had to go through the horrendous moment of having to tell Laney that her dad had died.Laney recalled: “I wanted to make sure he was okay, I kind of knew he had passed, but I wasn't sure.“I just broke down crying - I'm so sad, but I know Dad would want us to be okay.

She continued: "A small bleed meant I ended up being rushed back into theatre having a colonoscopy and Endoscopy within the hour to check for the source."It’s amazing how quickly crash teams work, and As much as I just want to be home (it’s now getting on to two weeks in hospital), it’s also nice to feel in a safe place when my body isn’t playing ball.""Had an awful night of new regimes and being poked 10 times to find whatever working vein I have left (yes I have a port, but when you are on as much drugs as I am I need more lines in)."Dry shampoo and Lippy for the win! Was feeling good (it’s all relative!) and my liver numbers were FINALLY improving (go liver!!). Ralf Rangnick explains Cristiano Ronaldo sub after Man Utd diva's angry tantrum
Cristiano Ronaldo after the superstar’s angry reaction to being hauled off during Manchester United’s win at Brentford.Ronaldo started up-front for United and played a crucial role in the Mason Greenwood goal that ultimately sealed the three points for Rangnick’s men.The Portuguese attacker chested a lofted ball forward into the path of Bruno Fernandes who sprinted through on goal before playing a squared pass to Greenwood to tap-in.But nine minutes after that goal, which was United’s second of the game, Rangnick opted to replace Ronaldo with centre-back Harry Maguire.Ronaldo was left furious by that decision, slowly walking off the pitch before throwing a coat that had been handed to him by a kit-man to the ground. The 36-year-old continued to show his frustration while sitting on one of the steps in the dugout at the Brentford Community Stadium. He could be seen gesturing and asking why it was him who had been taken off before shaking his head. While he defended Ronaldo’s angry reaction, Rangnick insisted after the win that it had been the right call. Was Ralf Rangnick's decision to substitute Cristiano Ronaldo the right one? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section...He highlighted the fact that Ronaldo had only recently returned from injury, as well as the events of United’s last game in which they threw away a two-goal lead at Aston Villa, for his reasons.“That is normal - a striker wants to score,” Rangnick told BT Sport when asked about Ronaldo’s reaction to being taken off.“But he has come back from a little injury and it was important to remember we have got another game coming up.Want to be on the ball with all of the latest football news?Well then sign up for the brilliant Daily Star football email

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR(S)!"The Strictly Come Dancing 2021 contestant went on to share a string of photos from the comfort of his spacious suite, which included a dining table big enough to fit 18 people."It might only be one night… but I need to make the most of it," Dan added."Table seats 18… who's in?"The royal suite at the swanky hotel is believed to cost upwards of £500 a night and is often reserved for special guests.Four snaps were attached to the tweet, with one photo showing Dan's huge living space while a painting of Queen Elizabeth hung above the fireplace. The father-of-three also photographed his master bedroom, complete with a private seating area and a private double en-suite.The bathroom featured marble flooring and a glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling, along with double sinks and a chaise lounge.Fans didn't hesitate to react to Dan's hotel room upgrade in the comment section of his post, as one person joked that the suite was big enough for his very own Strictly dance floor."Remove the table and you have your very own Strictly Dance floor," @Katelamb12 quipped."Just missing the Glitterball."Another Twitter user @Sand26562 continued: "Why have a bed for two but a huge dining table, very odd."Bet there have been a few office parties in there!!!
