Dan Levy has joined the cast of Netflix hit Sex Education as filming for series four of the show begins in Wales.The Canadian actor, 39, is best known for playing David Rose in Schitt’s Creek, a show he co-created with his father Eugene Levy. Dan is set to play Thomas Molloy in the comedy, a famous author who acts as Maeve Wiley’s course tutor as she heads to study at a prestigious university in the US. Confirming the news, Netflix shared a photo of Dan in his role and wrote: “Sex Education Season 4 is now in production — and Dan Levy has joined the cast as Mr.
Molloy!” Sharing the same photo of him alongside his co-star Emma Mackey, who plays Maeve, Dan wrote: “Sex Ed. Season 4. VERY serious news.” Ncuti Gatwa, who was recently announced as the new Doctor in Doctor Who, will also return to his role as Eric Effiong for the fourth series of Sex Education.
Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Aimee Lou Wood, Emma Mackey and Connor Swindells will also make their highly-anticipated return. Filming of series four is currently underway in Wales and will continue until 2023.The upcoming series will begin shortly after the closure of Moordale Secondary as Otis, played by Butterfield, and Eric face their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College.
