Damian Lewis looked dashing on Friday evening as he attended the London premiere for the thriller show. The actor, 51, opted for a peacock coloured velvet blazer with matching slim-fit trousers, layered over a V-neck black T-shirt. He teamed the two-piece ensemble with a pair of black and gold metal-detailed loafers, alongside a complementing belt.
And adding a cream flatcap to the red carpet look, Damian smiled for a slew of snaps at the television event. The Homeland star was joined by Motherland actress Anna Maxwell Martin on the red carpet, who also stars in the new TV show. The screen star looked gorgeous in a pleated navy skirt, PVC crop top with bust panelling and heeled black boots.
Smiling on the red carpet, she was sandwiched in between Damian and Ade Edmondson - who starred in BBC's The Pact. The trio appeared in high spirits for the evening as they couldn't contain their laughter on the red carpet. In the new show, Guy Pearce, who appeared absent from the premiere, will star as the notorious British intelligence officer and KGB double agent, Kim Philby.
While Damian, who was also a producer on the series, takes on the role of fellow intelligence officer, Nicholas Elliott. The spy-thriller is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Ben Macintyre and will be released on the new ITVX later this year.

Nothing has quite the same screen allure as a secret world. Espionage is so secret, by definition, that we have to take even its existence as a matter of trust; all we know about what goes on behind the intelligence agencies’ closed doors is what is relayed to us through books, films and series like A Spy Among Friends, based on Ben Macintyre’s book about the British double agent Kim Philby. Presumably, a certain kind of person is drawn to that world where nothing can be let slip outside it. To work for both sides, one must constantly be aware of who said what to whom, who knows what, who saw you where, who remembers you there — that anyone should want that life is a mystery in itself.
