Dame Deborah James has bid an emotional goodbye to her brother as he heads off on holiday to the US.
The inspirational cancer campaigner, who was previously told by doctors she had just days to live, said she warned her brother 'not to come back under any circumstances'. She said he had been planning the trip 'for ages' and that she told him he had to go, the Mirror reports.
Deborah, 40, is currently receiving end-of-life care at home with her parents after battling bowel cancer. The mum-of-two has raised thousands of pounds for charity and helped raise awareness of symptoms.

Speaking to The Sun about her brother Ben, she said: "He’s off on holiday to the US tomorrow. I have told him they have to go, they’ve planned the trip for ages.
"I also told him he must not come back, under any circumstances. He says he’ll come home. It’ll be horrible saying goodbye to him. I can’t really think about it right now."
She previously spoke of her sadness at not being able to see her nieces and nephews, nor be at her brother's wedding following his engagement to partner Ashley. Announcing their engagement on Instagram, Deborah - who is also known as 'Bowel Babe' - said: "He finally put a ring on it.
"If you follow me, you will know brother banter features highly, and even Prince William got in on the action recently. The question to my brother has always been, ‘why haven’t you proposed?’"
She added: "My brother will be the most amazing dad. I am so pleased he is engaged, I love Ashley and they are so happy together.
