Los Angeles detectives are investigating Jonathan Lyndale Kirk (DaBaby) for assault with a deadly weapon after he was filmed fighting at a California bowling alley this morning. A video posted by a witness to the event appears to show Kirk and his crew dragging Brandon Curiel (rapper Brandon Bill$) — the brother of Kirk's ex-girlfriend, Danielle Leigh Curiel (singer DaniLeigh) — across several bowling lanes, striking him repeatedly. TMZ reported on the fight this morning, and The FADER has since confirmed details of the investigation.
The fight broke out at Corbin Bowl on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana, CA. According to LAPD Officer Drake Madison, police responded around 1:20 this morning to a radio call for an AD battery (assault with a deadly weapon). Mr.
Curiel returned to the scene close to 3:30 a.m., and while he refused medical attention, his injuries did not appear to be serious. Madison could not confirm why the deadly weapon charge was added to the battery, although TMZ speculated it might have been due to Kirk and the other suspects kicking Curiel while he was on the ground. scored a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it role in the rom-com as a hard-partier who strips off his clothes, offers drugs to other party guests and checks out a jacuzzi. And here is how the “Saturday Night Live” alum, 28, snagged the quirky walk-on — or jump-on — part and was caught off-guard in the process.“I didn’t even tell him what he’s doing,” film director Jason Orley told Variety on the red carpet at the picture’s Los Angeles premiere on Thursday. “I said, ‘Can you come down for a night?’ and he said ‘Sure!’ And he showed up and I said, ‘Okay, get up on this ledge and take off your clothes.’ And he was like, ‘What are you talking about?’”For the cameo, Davidson was fastened onto the ledge of a roof — wearing only his underwear — and leaped onto protective pads on the ground.
Microsoft president Brad Smith has said that staff at Activision Blizzard will be “under scrutiny” following its acquisition of the publisher.Last month, Microsoft purchased Activision Blizzard in a deal worth around £50billion, with the US Federal Trade Commission currently conducting an antitrust investigation. The purchase comes after Activision was hit by a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and another by the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission following multiple allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination, and workplace misconduct. In between that, its own staff also filed a complaint too, alleging that the company used intimidation and “coercive tactics” to stifle staff trying to improve working conditions. It’s also been alleged that Activision CEO Bobby Kotick was aware of sexual misconduct claims within the company since 2018 but did not inform Activision’s board of directors. A report by the Wall Street Journal also suggested that Kotick played a first-hand part in the culture that has embroiled Activision in sexual harassment lawsuits and investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission.Speaking CNBC (via VGC) about the accusations, Smith said: “We’re looking to the leadership team at Activision Blizzard today to make culture and workplace safety a top priority every single day, until the day when this deal hopefully closes.
